Leigh serves as the Executive Director of the Alliance. Her own personal journey in the fight for justice began after being heartbroken while learning about the reality of human trafficking. In time, she felt compelled to begin opening her home for prayer every other Tuesday night for like-minded women wanting to pray that God would end it. That season of prayer was pivotal in Leigh’s life. God began directing her one small step at a time and eventually she found herself sitting in a meeting with like-minded believers from around the city who all had a passion to see the church engaged and mobilized to see people set free in our city. From that meeting, the vision of the Alliance emerged. She had the incredible opportunity to be one of the Alliance’s co-founders and to see God’s hand in bringing churches together in our city to slay the giant of human trafficking.

Leigh and her husband Marc have been married nearly 19 years and they have three children. They are both native Houstonians and they met and married at their home church, Houston’s First Baptist where they serve as Life Bible Study teachers for a young singles class. Leigh attended Dallas Baptist University and was a high school English teacher before having kids and before the Alliance.

Leigh loves being outside on a beautiful day with a cup of coffee in one hand a good book in the other. She loves history, traveling, and learning. She loves teaching God’s Word and is passionate about seeing people set free – physically and spiritually. She would say that her greatest thrill in all of life has come from knowing Jesus and following Him.
